Location: The Century Restaurant and Bar, 432 Richards St. (at Pender), Vancouver - Lower Mainland / Vancouver


Join co-operators and co-op supporters from across the Lower Mainland as co-ops and credit unions field teams in the first ever I Choose Co-op Quiz challenge. Each team has five participants. This fun evening will feature music, food, drinks, prizes, and a range of challenging co-op activities that will test participants' knowledge of co-ops while sharpening team skills and strengthening the social bonds among co-operators of all types and stripes. 

Registration is $20 per participant and includes a drink.

Vancouver Co-operative Radio, CFRO, 102.7 FM is a non-profit, listener-supported, multi-lingual community station that has provided Vancouver with alternative public affairs, music and arts programming since 1975. Co-op Radio provides a space for under-represented voices and perspectives. In August 2012, Co-op Radio will be moving to a new frequency: 100.5 FM. The Outreach and Campaigns Co-ordinator is responsible for planning outreach events, in-person promotion, and other outreach work to promote the station’s move to this new frequency.

A new online farmers market is making it simple to eat healthy organic foods and support local producers at the same time.

Joanna Michal is a stay at home mother-of-three, whose interest in organic food was born around the same time as her first child.

 "It really makes you think hard about the food choices that you're making when you're feeding this brand new person," she said.
