The Wood Co-op offers marketing services to those woodworking businesses across B.C. that are associated with the Co-op's participating member organizations.

Our most prominent initiative yet is the operation of a retail establishment in Vancouver, B.C. that conveys an image of upscale wooden arts and crafts and allows customers and visitors to appreciate fine woodworking and craftsmanship in B.C. The retail outlet sells fine wood-based home furniture and furnishings as well as home accents, giftware and accessories.

We provide our customers and clients with a quality retail environment that includes personal service and unique products that are designed, constructed and juried to the highest standards of craftsmanship. This includes our ability to design and customize furniture specifically to the individual needs and preferences of our customers. Products are drawn from juried membership of various woodworking associations around B.C. that belong to The Wood Co-op.

The Wood Co-op also engages in and provides other marketing services as well as member services and tools. Future plans include the expansion of marketing services in a variety of ways, the creation of a membership directory, and the arrangement of new group insurance packages.

Underlying Co-op business is the recognition of the need of the Co-op's associated membership of small wood businesses (i.e. our clients) to derive financial stability from a sustainable forestry economy, and a dedication to helping the people involved develop professionally and successfully in their ventures.
