Quadra Credit Union is proud to be a part of our community. We have been banking on the Discovery Islands since 1941. Our two modern branches on Quadra Island and Cortes Island serve over 3300 members from all walks of life and all sizes of business.

Quadra Credit Union's mission statement is "to be a community co-operative providing equitable financial services to our members in a personal, confidential and professional manner."

As active members of our community Quadra Credit Union offers annual bursaries and support to many worthwhile community initiatives.

The Discovery Islands British Columbia

The Discovery Islands are group of islands located on the west coast Canada between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia.  The Discovery Islands provide an abundance of opportunities for outdoor activities year round including hiking, kayaking and mountain biking.  The residents of the Discovery Islands are made up of a wide variety of artists, professionals, and families that provide summer markets, annual festivals and garden tours for locals and visitors to enjoy. 

The 8 minute ferry ride from Campbell River to the west side of Quadra Island gives locals and visitors a beautiful view up and down the Discovery Passage.  In the summer months it is not unusual for the ferry to be delayed due to whales  traveling through the Inside Passage.  Quadra Island is one of the most populated islands in the area and is often considered the gateway to the Discovery Islands.  Off the east side of Quadra Island there is one more ferry that takes residents and visitors to Cortes Island.  The many outer islands that make up the Discover Islands are accessible by water taxi or personal boats.
